Bio

I am a devoted musician with over seven years of professional experience in the music industry. I have experience performing live in both formal and informal settings in many styles. I have six years of professional arranging and composing experience writing for orchestras, big bands, studio recordings, and various small ensembles. I have taught privately for five years on Piano, Saxophone, Flute, and Clarinet, and I also worked as an educator for the  online education platform “The Saxophone Academy”.

Teaching Info

My teaching philosophy is heavily rooted in creativity and curiosity.  We will work on many styles of music, and I always default to the student’s interest. I have an aural approach to teaching, so we will be listening to a lot of music and using our ears to learn material together. Improvisation and composition are also a fundamental part of music artistry in my opinion, and we will work together to engage our creative muscles each lesson. In addition, we will work on technique of the instruments, sight reading, and the fundamentals of music theory.
