Bio
I love music and sharing my passion with musicians at all levels. I’ve been teaching privately for over ten years and have worked with students of all ages and with vastly different goals and backgrounds. Throughout my life as a musician and performer, I have strived to take part and experience the vastness of music. From opera to jazz, classical to musical theater, pop to rock, flamenco to middle eastern, blues to country and electronic to hip hop, I’ve been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to experience so much as a performer, educator and composer.
I received my BA in Music from Columbia University where I specialized in composition and recording at the Computer Music Center. I formally studied jazz and classical guitar as well as piano and studied voice through Manhattan School of Music.
Recently, I received my MA in Songwriting with distinction from Berklee College of Music. Working as a songwriter for commercial use as well as producing and recording helps me offer a more rounded and popular approach rather than one that is just classical and academic.

Teaching Info
As an educator, I strive to tailor my lessons to keep students engaged. It is essential to me that students have the skills needed to learn the music they desire independently. Fundamentals are essential but so is creativity and discipline. I want students to feel empowered and confident in their musical journey.
