Bio

An Atlanta, GA native, Mr. McLendon began his musical career on the violin at age 9 before switching to trumpet at age 11. He recently graduated with a Master’s in Trumpet Performance from the Juilliard School, studying with Raymond Mase, Mark Gould, and Chris Martin. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, golfing, and video games. Mr. McLendon subs with the New York City Ballet, Atlanta Symphony, Chattanooga Symphony, Savannah Philharmonic, New World Symphony, and Atlanta Master Chorale.

Teaching Info

I am a recent graduate of the Juilliard School with 6 years of teaching experience. All ages and skill levels are welcome in my studio.

Every trumpet student has different strengths, weaknesses, facial structure, mouthpiece, and trumpet. I believe a student’s trumpet routine should be designed specifically to fit their needs and align with their goals as a musician. Once I understand your skill level and trumpet goals, I will personally create a practice routine designed specifically for you.
