Bio

My private composition studio started in Los Angeles four years ago and has continued in New York. I have over a decade of teaching experience. I am a passionate, skilled, and structured teacher. My goals are for students to find their compositional voice, have their compositions performed, and enjoy the process of learning and composing. Bio below.

A graduate of The Juilliard School (MM) and New England Conservatory (BM), Emilia’s award-winning music has been recorded, commissioned, and performed worldwide, including at Lincoln Center, Bowdoin International Music Festival, Tanglewood Music Center, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, The Juilliard School, New England Conservatory, Montclair State University, and Freie Universität in Berlin, Germany. She has arranged and composed music for orchestra, choir, and chamber groups, including Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra, One World Symphony, and Grace Church Choir. Emilia received awards from ASCAP, American Prize, New England Conservatory, and was supported by the Irene Diamond Fellowship to attend The Juilliard School. Emilia teaches composition and orchestration in New York, NY.
