Bio
Born with a fervent passion for music, my journey began at the Conservatorium High School where I honed my skills alongside Australian jazz icons Judy Bailey and Craig Scott. This early exposure sparked a lifelong commitment to performance and exploration. Pursuing my academic endeavors at the Australian National University, I delved into jazz while nurturing a growing fascination with orchestral and chamber music.
In 2015, I co-founded “The Gravy ‘Trane” quartet, a venture that not only showcased my jazz prowess but also earned us accolades, including grants that funded a transformative tour of Japan in 2019. Despite my jazz roots, an invitation to tour with Foreigner ignited a passion for orchestral music, culminating in unforgettable performances at Carnegie Hall alongside luminaries like Dave Eggar and the American Modern Ensemble.
Transitioning to academia, I moved to Adelaide in pursuit of deeper understanding, where I found myself immersed in orchestral collaborations with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and Adelaide Baroque. As a freelance musician, I traversed the Australian music scene, collaborating with esteemed ensembles like the Australian Haydn Ensemble and participating in international masterclasses that broadened my horizons.
Through this venture into academia, I have also been able to lecture in jazz theory, music history and double bass at the University of Sydney, Australian National University and University of Adelaide.

With a dynamic and engaging teaching style, I strive to instill not only technical proficiency but also a deep appreciation for the artistry and creativity inherent in music. By sharing my knowledge, passion, and love for music, I aim to empower students to embark on their own enriching musical journeys, equipped with the skills and confidence to excel both on and off the stage.
