Bio

I, Jason Valesio of MusicTutorNYC (formerly MusicTutorLA) am a Brooklyn based music producer, composer, and teacher specializing in teaching a wide range of subjects such as songwriting, music production, mixing, piano for producers, music theory, and ear training, as well as offering music college preparatory counseling to those students hoping to gain acceptance to a music school.

As a music educator, I set a very high bar for myself to ensure that all of my students succeed, learn quickly, and have fun in the process.  When first starting to work with a new student, I start by getting an idea of their previous music education and background, learning more specifically about what they want to learn and their musical goals and objectives for the near and distant future, and taking note of the kinds of music that they enjoy the most.  Using that information, I create lesson plans that are specifically tailored to the needs of that student. Every student is unique, and my job as their teacher is to adjust my teaching style accordingly, to ensure that they get the best training and instruction I can offer.
