Bio

• Nicole began her violin studies at age eight with Juilliard alumna Rose-Marie Johnson. She has since studied under virtuoso Julia Sakharova and Professors Isaac Malkin and Anat Malkin-Almani at the Manhattan School of Music and Juilliard Evening Division. As a recitalist, Nicole has performed at the Nyack Academy of Music Festival and the Jascha Heifetz Symposium, studying with the late Sherry Kloss, a protege of Jascha Heifetz. She continues to consult with her mentor Sherry Kloss and, more recently, Joseph Silverstein. Nicole has substituted for the Long Island String Quartet and served as a guest violinist with the Stony Brook University Orchestra. She has also studied at the Academy of Music Festival under mentors Bracha Malkin, Mikhail Kopelman, and Sergey Ostrovsky. In May 2011, Nicole made her orchestral debut at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center, with the Park Avenue Chamber Symphony under conductors David Bernard, Paul Plew, and Mark Hayes. She has served as Assistant Principal Violinist with the Park Avenue Chamber Symphony, participating in a nationwide concert tour of China.

Nicole enjoys teaching students of all ages and skill level.
